— A Note from the New Kindergarten Manager
Today marked the inauguration of the new President of the United States.
With the slogan “Make America Great Again,” President Trump delivered a characteristically strong and resolute message. As a global leader, the course of his first 100 days will be closely watched with anticipation and curiosity. It will be interesting to see how the founding principles of the United States are translated into action.
Meanwhile, at Suwa Kindergarten, we, too, are embracing change—gradually, yet steadily.
Preserving tradition while introducing innovation is no simple task, but it is a necessary one.
“Drill, baby, drill.”
Originally a slogan associated with oil drilling in the United States, this phrase surprisingly resonates with our own efforts in maintaining the school grounds and cultivating our garden. Day by day, we continue our own version of Drill and Drill.
Yesterday, three of our youngest students unexpectedly joined our gardening efforts.
With small plastic shovels in hand, they began digging into the soil without any instructions, as if drawn by an invisible force of curiosity. No one told them to dig, yet they dug—such is the nature of a child’s inquisitive mind.
Together with our students, we look forward to cultivating new ground, nurturing growth, and building a bright future.
As we reflect on this historic day in America, we are reminded that even the smallest actions can pave the way for meaningful change.
